The world is overpopulated for the elite. Its difficult to monitor 7.5 billion humans. That's why they want population reduction. If we grow food on every spare piece of land instead of grass and flowers, we wouldn't need to destroy the rainforests. I have been saying this for years.  Before internet was a study on the population of the world. You can fit everyone in a 25 square miles shoulder to shoulder. That would be like one of the urban sprawl cities. Add another billion today would not have much affect. I think by owning vast tracks of land has more to do with the rich land owners worries as well. They dually despise us.
