The burning cop care seemed, to be an old Crown vic (2003?) and kinda beat up... and was left by itself in middle of the crowd... in my opinion...

They left that car behind their police line and they knew they were gonna mess it up.

Then after the car was on fire Swat showed up and they rolled in with all the military vehicles.

Yep, too obvious to leave it sitting half a block from the police station. Make the crowd draw their attention to the easy target to deter them.
Also on the Bas feed before it was cut, he made a damn good point. The car was placed strategically between the people & the riot cops so it trapped the protestors in, making easy tear gas targets. Also placed in close proximity to the media trucks.
