T-giving and Xmas are a month apart.
If we celebrated Thanksgiving in October, it would be too close to Halloween.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52252259 Thanksgiving and Christmas are 2 months apart (ask any Canadian) and Halloween are for the kiddies and no one eats turkey on that day anyway.
