Re: Creed singer Scott Stapp says IRS froze his bank accounts and biological weapons "on the way" in FL
He sold his soul for fame and fortune, then tried to get out by going Christian.

What did he expect?

At least he is still alive, unlike others who have tried to escape from their underworld deals.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36281245

Tough situation. His dad is a preacher who disapproved of his sons rock star lifestyle. He left the scene to get right god.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45874141

And he has failed to find his way back.

It's too bad that so many fail to see the truth, when it could still save their lost and likely condemned souls.

Being overly Christian isn't the way, in fact when lost it is simply another exploitable weakness.

Scott knows what he must do, but he is trapped and can't let go.

He, like so many other rare talents will likely end up as just another tragic story, and statistic.

Looks like a meme.
Christian conspiracists are just nuts.
Biological threas, ISIS, ferguson, even the Missisipi river.
Clearly all things are just figments of wild Christian conspiratards imaginations.

There are atheist conspiracy theorists as well. A lot of the illuminati conspiracy ideas are from Muslims. Why are you laying all conspiracy theories on Christians? Most 911 truthers and anti-vaccine nuts are left leaning hippies.

I really think the hate is about the blatant and over the top commericalism that they used. The whole lets take something really famous from guys with a shitload of talent, and then we will write some really cheesy songs using that formula with our mediocre skills, we will take some pics of us with our shirts off, and we will score babes and do blow.

The early 90's saw brilliance come back into rock. Then these guys just pissed all over it. And people saying I am envious, if I was going to envious it would be of someone who has mega talent, money and a great career. I AM envious of say, Billy Corgan, Eddie Vedder, Trent Reznor....and I love their music, and I respect them.

I am not envious of something or someone that I have no respect for.

I hate completely contrived and unoriginal commercialized music, it is my biggest pet peeve. Creed is a massive symbol of that.

That is my opinion, though.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 57641770

Trent Reznor??? Every note of every one of his songs is computer generated. How is that original??? He just copied 80's new wave and added the F word every song. No accounting for taste I suppose.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59722853

The Downward Spiral and The Fragile are works of art, he combined ambience and lyric and created an entirely new genre.

Yeah, he does have obvious influences from The Crue and Depeche Mode...but he did his own thing and had his own sound.

I could give a shit how someone creates music if it is good. Electronic or not. Art is art.

Creed is equivalent to a detergent commercial. They fucking suck.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 57641770

Here is the complete summary of every song Trent Reznor has ever recorded:

" I hate pigs. pig pig piggy. I hate myself. I hate you. I want to die. I want you to die. F**K you" the end.

Art in it's most elegant form for sure.

If that's what you got out of "every song" that says way more about you than Trent Reznor. How can you, apparently, be a Foo Fighters fan when TR is operating on the same ridiculously sonically harmonious level as Dave Grohl?

Actually, when he started in music he was running away from Christianity. In the song "Torn", he is questioning everything he has ever been taught about religion. His stepfather was over the top strict and he wasn't allowed to even listen to rock music growing up. When he finally got away, he went completely wild doing the opposite of everything he was taught. He only later came back to his faith, or tried to anyway.

He's got to be right about something with a that kind of hate.

As someone that went to see the kennedy's, doa, clash-

creed was just a rip off of the underground punk scene, no culture what so ever. Watch Suburbia, the first one, or Breaking Glass and get some culture. Fuk, Hazel O'Conner was way ahead...

or Big Brother...

those 90's bands stole the energy from the real music scene, they were the first metal heads to have lawyers.

I watched the hardcore scene grow, bands like Anthrax crossover- none got any credit, it was just lawyer bands that stole the show.

In his video, I like what he has to say- but he's on his own. Maybe he should do something radical, and go only God tunes, get on youtube being arrested, beaten- and get a new fanbase.

Goes on a small anti government rant at the end. Reminds me of Randy Quaid star whacker stuff. Yeah definitely was on hard drugs and a GLP reader. He will probably end up being "suicided". I would be interested in more he says about what he wants to uncover.

Exactly. Did all those 70s musicians get robbed and go broke in vain? Come on, if you don't keep your eyes on your own money these days you're an idiot. You let drugs and sex rule over your common sense. I hate to say it but he had it coming to him. His music is his business. If I took my eye of the ball in my business like that, I'd go broke too.

Too bad they couldn't go out and tour. A lil shampoo and haircut and he'd be good to go. I'm sure this time his head wouldn't swell to the point where he's unbearable.

I hope he works it out.

What state is he in, Florida? Whats up with this video production? Is that some app that puts those animated backgrounds? Just seems like there is a little production value to this video.
