Creed singer Scott Stapp says IRS froze his bank accounts and biological weapons "on the way" in FL

His most recent album, proof of life, was a VERY good album that was pro Jesus all the way through.

I did notice he sort of smacked his mouth quite a bit and wondered about it. Curious as to why that indicates Meth. Can you elaborate on that? He wasn't rambling or talking incoherently though so I'm not so sure he's not telling the truth about being sober. He really didn't sound crazy or anything.

and he'll be doing the superbowl next year.

I will say this because I know Creed was a band a lot of people loved to hate...I saw them in concert in Summer 2000 and I'll have to say they really put on a great show. When Scott was in his prime, he was a great performer. He sang his butt off for 2 solid hours and it wasn't lip syncing. All the guys in the band put on one heck of a show back then.

But like most all bands with very few exceptions, it had to end. Scott was built up to the point that he was reported to have gotten the "big head" and his ego grew to the size of the grand canyon which, in conjunction with drinking and drugs, caused it all to come crashing down.

He was in good company as pretty much the same thing happened to many other popular bands..Axel Rose, David Lee Roth, Wes Scantlin, etc. pretty much the same story. ( except I dont' think many of them are completely broke like Stapp says). The record industry executives see something in these guys they can exploit and build them up, ride the gravy train, and then toss them to the side when the momentum starts to fade and move on the next big thing.

Most of these singers and performers are not financially smart and have no idea how to handle their money. I'm sure a lot of them are swindled out of their money and never have a clue.

It's hard to have been at that level of fame and then lose it all. Most of them can't handle being up there and then going back to a normal life. I wonder what has happened to a lot of big names from the 80's and 90's. A few are still around, but it's the exception more than the rule I think.

He went to my christian university was like family to the chancellor. I think he is legit.

I noticed on his facebook page, this song hit #1 on the Christian top 30!!




He does need our prayers, and as some other poster mentioned, he need the "benefit of the doubt". No matter our past mistakes, it is what is ahead of us that matters most of all.

If he is having so much trouble as not to have eaten for TWO DAYS~~~ he does need help. He is reaching out, afterall.

Creed was everything wrong with music. Take music with actual creativity and inspiration, dumb it down, add some pretty boy fags who went to rock school, package and sell. Their music was completely awful. They managed to get 50 million people with bad taste to buy their crap.

If he blew through all of that money he is a moron. And it is hilarious that he turns to Christian music once his career tanks. I guess he finally found his way, now that the groupie whores are gone and there is no more money for blow.

Creed, Nickelback and all of those third generation grunge grave robbers should be ashamed for turning rock into a fucking joke.

I'm pasting a link to a very good article about Scott. It seems as if he has paranoid thoughts in his head going back many years. He confessed in an earlier interview he almost committed suicide back in 2003 and was convinced band execs were pushing him to do what Kurt Cobain did so they could boost record sales. Was this all drugs and booze or was he seeing enough through the drug induced fog to catch on?

Whatever you think about him, he is talented, has a great voice and really is a good person inside, just can't seem to shake his demons. And he may very well be targeted. Very sad. I hope he can ultimately overcome it.

(BTW, he gave a LOT of money to charitable organizations when he had it. He was not stingy with his money. He donated a heck of a lot to local food banks and Second Harvest), very few celebs have given as much as him and he has gotten very little credit for all the charitable work he has done.

Wrong. You may think he sucked, that is a matter of musical taste, but a LOT of people bought their music. Creed sold over 40 million albums, so that's a lot of nobodies. Creed broke up because of Scott's erratic behavior and drinking.
