The world financial crisis of 2008 has not been healed. Major world economies are sinking in debt, fiat currencies are failing, and there is talk of a new world currency, probably linked to gold reserves. In bad times, nations buttress their currency reserves with gold, since it is seen as a stable holder of value. The Swiss have a referendum (Nov 30) on restoring their gold reserves, Holland has secretly regained 120 tonnes of gold held in the US since WWII, and now France is asking about their gold. The world is waking up, but Canada slumbers on, currently 91st in the world for gold holdings in reserve.
We petition the Canadian federal Parliament to restore physical gold reserves to 20% of total reserves.
