It actually looks like a smooth piece of bone.

I'm starting to think, all this Mars footage is shot on earth in the desert and junk they didn't see on their first sweep is being videoed. Milk the tax payers for billions for Mars expense and really spending the cash for black ops. So many private contractors involved in the space project, it would be easy enough to give a bunch of shell corporations no bid contracts to fake up a whole deception.

Or they are purposely inserting bizarre stuff in the footage like lizard stones, humanoid , smooth structure with sharp angles etc, to keep the public interested in space programs.... All to keep the milk money coming in.
