Agreed. I don't believe that they are really the "Israel" spoken of in the Bible...I think that they are imposters. Instead of being "blessed" if we support them as the Bible says of Israel, I think that we will be cursed because we are supporting the "Antichrist" imposter.

I do not think we should send in troops as part of a peace keeping force either. Having American soldiers there is just icing on this twisted cast and will bring in more terrorists. I think that in the historical context of the United States position regarding the near east, there has been a complete lack of strategy.

It is far too late to alter this now, but clearly the US agenda has been poorly executed in the region for over 40 years.

Israel is central to today's crisis, but the wholesale support of oppressive regimes merely to oppose the former USSR and provide cheap oil is the real failure IMO.

Israel is a stopgap - If the Muslim's ever destroy Israel, they will not hesitate to assimilate all of the Middle East, the Continent of Africa and then Europe - indeed, they have already succeeded in many of the countries already.
