I've been told that I'm smart my entire life since I was a kid.
I've made teachers do double takes and say I am insightful and the smartest person in the class.
According to Kohlberg's stages of morality I am postconventional, or stage 6, which few people ever get to.
So I assume my IQ is probably higher than average. In arguments I seem to be able to look at social norms objectively while others aren't able to do this. I gauge other people's IQs by whether they have this ability.
I've also read that people with higher than average IQs have a difficult time having conversations with people below their IQ because they see the world in a different way. They bring old thoughts to the table while I see their thoughts as lacking in perspectives of objectivity. They are stuck on social norms rather than truths.
As much as I'd like to beleive Im just average, since I don't know physics and haven't gotten a PHd in math, I think I do have a higher IQ, because I can't relate to most people because they always seem a few steps behind me in analysis in every day conversations.
