Here's the problem, it's LAW that you take them seriously, to make Tier I Capital for banks and financial companies they must have AAA rated bonds, some public funds must be collateralized by AAA rated bonds. These laws and regulations MAKE them relevant even though they are obviously politically controlled and motivated so there is no realistic reason they should be relevant, especially after the way they misrepresented Bonds in 2008-09!!!
