Though this "Dog-Star" came to have an ill-omened association, it was not so in more ancient times. The next star, b (in the left fore foot), speaks the same truth. It is named Mirzam, and means the prince or ruler. The star d (in the body) is called Wesen, the bright, the shining. The star e (in the right hind leg) is called Adhara, the glorious.

Other stars, not identified, bear their witness to the same fact. Their names are--Aschere (Hebrew), who shall come; Al Shira Al Jemeniya (Arabic), the Prince or chief of the right hand! Seir (Egyptian), the Prince; Abur (Hebrew), the mighty; Al Habor (Arabic), the mighty; Muliphen (Arabic), the leader, the chief.

Here there is no conflicting voice; no discord in the harmonious testimony to Him whose name is called "Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God...the Prince of Peace" (Isa 9:6).

The names of the stars have no meaning whatever as applied to an Egyptian Hawk, or a Greek Dog. But they are full of significance when we apply them to Him of whom Jehovah says:

"Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people,
A LEADER and commander to the people."

This is "the Prince of princes" (Dan 8:23,25) against whom, "when transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance...shall stand up," "but he shall be broken without hand," for he shall be destroyed "with the brightness of His coming" (2 Thess 2:8). This is He who shall come forth "King of kings and Lord of Lords" (Rev 19:16).

I have actually changed my mind of the doctrine of rapture being that the Lord showed me what we've been taught is a bit off, that it is Acts 3:21, the restoration of all things that is what will happen which indeed will be rapturous.

I think it could be, the timing is very good for an event. Ten years ago I visited New York and went to watch the ball drop. The Lord told me then that there would be an event on that date and to watch. I assumed He meant that year. While everyone else was watching the ball I was staring at the sky. Nothing. I just cried when nothing happened. Maybe this is it. I hear 10 is the number of completion.

It is? Yes its high in the sky then every year.. but Christ was not born at the time of Sirius.. he was born in August.

Sirius is there EVERY YEAR people... it means NOTHING. Except that its there every year.. as part of that group of stars around Orion's Belt.

He told me He was born September 11th. Makes sense. In trouble? Dial 9-1-1.

What scripture proves Jesus was born August 21?

The Bible doesn't give us the exact date of Christ's birth, but it does give us enough information to be sure that it was not December 25.

Well I was taught that and believed it. It does SEEM to be scriptural. I was hard core. Nobody but God Himself would convince me otherwise.
