Was it Carl Jung's Dying Wish to Support "Rogue Doom Scientist " Velikovsky with Secret Book? Big Up-date Pg.5! Videos
EDITED: 10-31-2018

This interesting topic continues to engage many of
Carl Jung's fans and will probably do so for many generations since his work is essentially "timeless."
I originally included many copies of Jung's original
paintings from his "The Red Book" the links for which
have since been taken down. I will do a rewrite of the
thread when I can secure new copies. Meanwhile, you can
find out the basics about "The Red Book" at this wiki
article link below:

"...WHAT was THAT? Did you feel it?"
ANSWER: "Oh that!...No earthquake...just an "Ah ha!"
by folks who spent $500 on Jung's "Red Book" when
they discover Jung's paintings were all about SPACE
DISASTERS and not human psychology!

"The collective unconscious is common to all; it is
the foundation of what the ancients called the "sympathy
of all things." Carl Jung

CJzMandalla

"...You take the BLUE pill...You believe Carl Jung was
just a madman...You take the RED PILL--and I'll show you
he was one of the Great Minds of our time and HOW DEEP
the "Rabbit Hole of The Red Book" goes!...This is your last chance, Neo."

neoAMAZED2

Carl Jung is considered the "Father of Analytical
Psychology." Swiss born and one of the true visionaries on
the 20th Century, Jung did more to help us understand what
he coined "the Collective Unconscious" and "synchronicity"
than any other pioneer into the rhealms of the human mind.

Even his personal "totem"--the scarab beetle--is in popular
culture because of Jung's "synchronicity" experience and
without which a new generation would not have become
passionate about "All-things-Egyptian."

:CoronalHlKhepri:

Yet, when Jung died in 1961 a "secret" book lay gathering
dust in a Swiss bank vault like a Time Capsule--even tho
it may turn out to be possibly his most important and most
beautiful contribution of all his works. His family waited
50 years before allowing the publication. BUT...sadly,
lacking the CONTEXT OF JUNG'S PERSONAL PAINTINGS--and
the serious influence rogue scientist Emanuel Velikovsky
had on Carl Jung over decades of their secret friendship,
the paintings are being interpreted as "symbolic" when they
are, in fact, LITERAL!

In it were pictures and mythological-type calligraphic
compositions which if published during his successful career
(1912-1961) would most likely have destroyed both his
reputation and the budding industry of Psychology (and
almost certain had his fellow scientists known about Jung's
"secret" close friendship with Immanuel Velikovsky!

I'll explain why that could have happened in this thread!

Carl Jung's family, pressured into publishing "THE RED BOOK"
in 2009 it caused a "fire-storm" of controversy--even some
articles in The New York Times Magazine that reported the
book's contents held symptoms of Carl Jung's "secret madness!" In my own opinion (because people do NOT
see The Red Book in its correct "context"--as prescribing
"an alarming new space-disaster paradigm") the paintings
can never be understood as they should. Jung's technique
of using THE MEDIUM OF ART to "integrate" alarming or
otherwise paradigm-changing information into his own
subconscious mind should send a message for helping us
find our OWN TECHNIQUES for balancing upsetting information.
This theory is a GLP "exclusive" and you won't find this
anywhere else on the internet, in articles or in books.

Previous thread:

Thread: Big UPDATE pg 7!!Part 2. The "Father of Modern Psychology," Carl Jung Kept Planetary "Doom" Secret for 80 years! Update/Warning se

It is my theory that the book written and illustrated with
"original artwork" by Carl Jung called: "The Red Book"
has a direct link with the theories by Velikovsky, George
Michanowsky and Stephen Mehler concerning the nature of the
"Electric Universe Theory" and especially the history of an
unreported global disaster 12,000 ago.

A disturbance in the sun caused by action-from-a-distance with the Vela Supernova in 9,500 b.c. essentially erased ALL
advanced human civilizations world-wide. But to
understand what we are actually "seeing" in Carl Jung's
paintings for "The Red Book"--we need first to get an idea
of this "extreme catastrophe" and how an "electric universe"
can be the only reasonable basis for what the Earth would
have endured during this event. Please watch this short video by Stephen Mehler:

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)]
FairUSE

The "Event" is also related to our current "Christmas Comet" Lovejoy Q2 which very well may turn out to be part of the "Vela Supernova Remnant" and a "warning" from Carl Jung's subconscious mind through his extreme artwork that we may see some kind of "Cosmic repeat of Vela X" in the near future--(a warning that lay hidden in this secret book for more than 80 years like a "Time Capsule" for us!)

:XmasLovejoy:
JungzCometLvJoy
Was this beautiful painting of a
"Christmas Comet" by Carl Jung a
psychic image of Comet Lovejoy Q2
(possibly the "Future Star" in George
Michanowsky's "The Once and Future Star?"
If my theory that Carl Jung's paintings in
"The Red Book" concern the 9,500 b.c. space
disaster (called "The Vela Supernova") is
correct, it is more than likely the comet
image is the red giant "Vela" in process of
going supernova.

I only learned tonight (1-10-2015) that Carl Jung and Immanuel Velikovsky were, in fact, friends and corresponded up until Jung's death in 1961. Until I found the recently published book by Velikovsky's daughter on google, there was not ONE SHRED of credible evidence that Carl Jung could have been aware of the "Catastrophe of 9,500 b.c." except through his "intuition" or dreams. Here is a screen shot showing the article I found linking the two men!

JungKNEWveli

The Book that links Jung with Velikovsky:
Aba The Glory and the Torment -- The Life of Dr. Immanuel Velikovsky (1995)(2nd Ed. 2010) is a biography by Immanuel Velikovsky's daughter, Ruth Velikovsky Sharon.

Watch this video to understand the "Catch-22" these
two great men found themselves fighting in the circles of mainstream science during the 1960-70's...and the debate is STILL on-going today!

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)]
FairUSE (Education/discussion)
The entire video is well worth watching. I would
recommend the first 20 minutes, then skip over to
the last 8 minutes from the 49:00 min mark.

Fast-forward to the 49:00 min mark to listen to Dr.
Immanuel Velikovsky (in his own words) explain the critical
importance for humanity to recognize the collective "trauma of our past in the 9,500 b.c. catastrophe."

Coming into composing the first thread, I was able to observe--using ONLY the paintings in "The Red Book" and articles--I found on Jung may have been suffering from a "Cassandra Complex" for most of his life (his first "vision" of a global catastrophe was in 1913.)

What I did NOT know when composing the thread right after Christmas (2014) was that Jung and the "rogue doom-scientist" Immanuel Velikovsky had a SECRET friendship--which both men were very guarded about disclosing for obvious reasons. The theories that were closely held about the "Great Catastrophe" would most certainly have been shared with Jung, however, it was Jung's precognition before WWI of Velikovsky's theories which prepared Jung as one of the only scientists of his day to NOT reject Velikovsky.

Sadly, while Jung KNEW about the "9,500 b.c. event" and its implications for the "collective unconscious" prior to his friendship with Velikovsky, as a professional in the public eye he could NOT risk his reputation by backing-up his friend Velikovsky in their professional circles--(something he most certainly regretted.)

Knowing the CONTEXT of the Red Book's Illustrations, however, we can understand what Carl Jung would have wanted future generations to understand (at a time in the future when the name "Velikovsky" would NOT be associated with the words "rogue" or "crack-pot" of his generation) but rather as a brilliant pioneering thinker ahead of his time.

Thanks! I appreciate that vote!
What's even MORE cool about composing this thread--
which I couldn't include just because of the length--is
the number of times examples of Carl Jung's "synchronicity"
has played a part in getting this info out there over the past 2 weeks I've been working on it.
If Jung wanted something to PROVE that the archetypal energies
within the images which he painted could, indeed, convey an important message, then these paintings would be the candidates for it! It certainly comes through for me, tho I can't guarantee that affect for everyone.

i have been following your Jung threads.

i believe its entirely possible he was trying to convey a hidden message, so that he wouldn't be discredited by the mainstream.

that is just my speculation though.

Came across this video this morning which ALSO SPEAKS
to the general ideas which Jung was passionate about sharing.

This is something we have come to know in mainstream media as: The "Shadow-Self."

There must be a dozen movies about this psychological concept if there is ONE. But it ties in totally with Jung's and Velikovsky's concern about that "collective trauma" they each had theories about back in the 50's and 60's.

If you think of the "collective trauma" which we all carry in our subconscious mind as the "base of a pyramid" then what Depak Chapra calls "The Shadow Self" is a building block coming up from that base. As we accumulate this "negative energy field" into our subconscious "pain body" it can develop into a true monster, and something which many people will medicate away from their conscious experience. It is the core seed for any addiction.

Keeping in mind the 2 videos posted in the INTRO paragraph,
on the "collective trauma" (from 9,500 b.c.) you might get some deeper impressions from what is called "The Shadow Self" in this interesting video as well--they are in fact just different sides of the "same coin:"

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)]
FairUSE
"The Shadow Self" (explained in this video) is one level
UP from the foundation of Velikovsky's and Jung's "collective subconscious trauma." It is more than logical to assume that most forms of addiction originate on top of this FIRST basic trauma. (This video as an intro to a
self-help program which I am not affiliated with in any way--just thought it was thoughtful and that the synchronicity with the image in the first 3 minutes of
the video was something I'd like to share!)

There is even a Jungian "synchronicity" image in this video coming through with one of the paintings in Jung's "The Red Book." (I'm waiting for the smilie to be approved...this is just TOO COOL for words. I gave a "gasp" when I saw it in the video after making this thread!)

This is Jung's painting--wait till you see the video screen capture!

Jungzcomet:OnTheFloor:
Painting on the left is from Carl Jung's "The Red Book"
and is an original Jung painting. The screen capture from
the video above was just done about 1/2 hour ago as I've been responding to the thread (and watching the video I've posted here, myself!) In my opinion, this is a really great example of Jung's "synchronicity!" It has also the Comet Lovejoy Q2 I've been referencing in the thread. The image comes up in the video at the 2:45 min mark. Incredible!
wow

Notice also the floor of both images are "checkered."
Interesting "synchronicity" for the thread! (A "checkered
floor" is an archetypal symbol used by the Masons in
their lodges. Some believe refers to be the division of the "physical" from the "astral" worlds.

Compare Jung's painting to the screen capture at 2:47 min mark in the video above...example of "synchronicity" as we
review Jung's images? YOU decide!

wow. Just Wow.

I thought I was the only one

"Wacked out" enough to believe this stuff.

I think Velikovski speaks of His and Jung's friendship in his last book,

"Mankind in Amnesia".
Published 1979, the year of his passing.
It covers Exactly this subject,

The "Collective Amnesia" of past Cataclysms......

An excellent read, get one Oracle, you'd love it.

I started studying Velikovski and Jung in 1980.

I have 5 of Velikovski's 7 books. Original printings!!

Same here, Zip50! The nice leather-bound hardback copy
will run you somewhere around $200.00. I'm not sure
if there is any plan to put out a paperback version.

Also, remember that the people who are deciphering
Jung's book from its German to its English equivalent
may misinterpret what Jung was actually saying. Like
I said the the 3 threads I've done on this...CONTEXT
is everything where this book is concerned.

If the folks doing the interpretation are NOT clued-in
as to Jung's association with Velikovsky and the theories
that might skew the text toward REAL EVENTS rather than
some "metaphysical/inner-soul" reference, you'll be getting
a book which is NOT what Jung was intending for you.

For a good example...this painting that appears in the
"Red Book" and interpreted by the New York Times Magazine writers who did an expose on the book when it came out
looked at this painting and decided it mean that Jung
had "inner demons" and that he was "unstable mentally."
When, knowing the CONTEXT (Velikovsky theories, etc.) we
can see the painting as a beautiful image of a REAL
COMET in a REAL SKY which could have been seen above the
ancient city of Thebes, Egypt at the time of the "event"
9,500 b.c. (The modern town under the comet, however, tells me that Jung believed that a comet would be coming in
our generation, not in ancient Egypt.) It has NOTHING
absolutely nothing to do with Jung's "inner mental state."

JungzCometLvJoy

I am not really sure how one would work around this other
than to have a person fluent in German TO READ IT WITH YOU when you decide to get the book AND BE SURE TO GET THE ORIGINAL GERMAN, not ENGLISH--(and, remember, with a good
background in the theories of Velikovsky, Mehler, Hand-Clow
and Michanowsky about the Vela Supernova and Egyptian/
Sumerian history--THAT'S A LOT!) I am going to wait a few
years to purchase mine, just in case someone can pick up
on my theory, here, and do an interpretation of the book
with these factors in mind.

If you want a good laugh, go to the library and pick up
a book before 1870 written by Christian writers who try
to tell you what Zen Buddhism or Japanese Haiku means.
It is so far off the mark, it's not even worth reading.
But it took over 100 years for the West to "catch up" to the spiritual meanings of Buddhism to rewrite the books!

So...good luck with your decision on this.
cheers

This dude just gave me a red karma for spelling wrong.
What a douche bag! (Did I spell that right?)

It amazes me what some people get out of a thread
when they come in...I mean, really, all this just
incredible information and the thing this jerk
focuses on is "incorrect spelling!"

Takes all kinds, I guess.

Thanks Michael! Yeah...that smilie is trippy isn't
it! It threw me the first time that I saw it too! lol!
Thanks for the Greenie...I wasn't being a weenie, it
just sort of amazed me that with all the info and the
cool paintings from Carl Jung that this person was only
focused on the grammar. Just too sad for this person's sake that they'd miss so much.

Yes...Redheads rule! And thanks for the reminder to
not "throw pearls before swine!"

That "Russian" poster is an ass every where he goes.

I think he is in Utah.....at a certain G'mint Shill employment position.

Every thread that deals with Ideas, intelligent thought, Facts,
this bonehead has to trash it.
Or try.......

Great stuff. This is why I come to GLP.

I want to buy The Red Book, but just cannot afford it right now. I have been drawn to Jung for a long time now, even though a lot of his stuff is over my head.

5 Stars!

Thanks for the warning, but I don't know anyone at the moment that speaks German. Maybe I will meet someone in the future.

So, you don't think Jung was ever writing about metaphysical stuff at all?

I am certainly going to look into this some more. I am hoping this will be a long thread with a lot of positive comments.

I'm reading your thread in small increments due to time constraints but I wanted to comment on this piece of your presentation.

First, for a demonstration of some type of internal disequilibrium or psychological anomalies, the painting is very benign. It is actually quite balanced in proportions, placement of color, various juxtapositions of color, and overall arrangement of the subject matter. It would not matter of it were Jung or a hockey player painting that canvass, there is no overt evidence of pathology. The writers of the article wished it so, and that is the truth of that matter.

It is a painting of "unfolding" [look at his use of lines - think origami broadly speaking] and as such it is within the bounds of artistic symmetry. That is not psychosis on canvass, that is psychosis on the part of the writers.

Carl Jung was not psychotic. More on that later.

I will continue to read your posts as time permits and add some thoughts later, I just wanted to respond to the hatchet job done on him re very poor analysis of his painting.
