Massachusetts here too and the avg for heating oil across 16 vendors last week was around $2.40 per gallon.

Last Month it was around $2.89.

November it was over $3.11

If you have automatic delivery, stop that and call the vendor for latest cash price. Usually 150 gallons will get you a further 10c reduction per gallon.

my 30 day last month was around $401

Our Thermostat is on 68 when we are home and 60-65 when we are not or asleep.




We have "gas" not oil heat.
Gas stove and gas dryer as well.
we pay $1.0361 per Therms

we have gas from Liberty utilities.

In Atlanta and pay 53 cent per therm

Its 70 in the house and garage. Gas bill $35 lol. I love wood heat!

Ha, ha. Just what I was thinking. I got killed last winter with oil bills. This year I got myself an electric blanket, and firewood. Was doing well until this cold snap hit 2 weeks ago. Wearing long underwear and smart wool socks everyday.
The worst part is the cold toilet seat. Yikes!
