Tell me why us, the general stupid public who has a 40 or plus hour job,should care about the stock market?

You really are stupid. You shouldn't care about the stock market. Who was the big winner on Golden Globes? That's what you should care about.

That is a real stupid statement-
Do you not realize that when the market crash's that you will no longer have that 40 hr. a week job, but then not to worry because there will be no food on the store shelves and there will be rioting in the streets. Oh yes did I mention that the banks will be closed and while they are closed they will take whatever money you have in a 40l-k, checking and saving account, Just to mention a few things that will affect yo directly. Buckle up-we are in for a steep decline!

If you're prepared and don't have your money in a bank (or have no money in a bank), then you probably don't care much about the stock market.

If it crashes and banks go under, then you're ok. You have your money out of the bank.

But what about everyone YOU do business with? McDonalds? Kroger/Grocery Store? Wal-Mart?

What about the businesses that THOSE businesses work with? If the stocks go down, the value of the publicly traded businesses go down, then that company has no money to maneuver around with so they hire less people, maybe even fire more people, or take benefits away to make up for the loss. Leaving fewer people to do the majority of the work.

It won't impact YOU.

It will impact everyone ELSE, and by proxy, eventually you.

(I think this is why people should care and be prepared?)

Ugly truth is...wait till there is no food at your local supermarket, you'll care just like they did before. Remember the depression and soup lines from class?

Ok so there is only a finite supply of anything on earth..if this crybaby stock market geeks dont make a certain percent they tank the market.So its inevitable we will al starve because someone couldnt had to drive a volkswagaon and not a bmw.
