Beagle 2 found on Mars

damn.. shame I ain't got enuff diesel in my van.. I'd drive over to Mars now, take a ferry, pick that lot up for scrap metal. What's it worth in in English pounds sterling?

I'm afraid you could be correct there. It was only in the last few years Interviewers brought out the 'colour blind graphics' book to test applicants colour proficiency. I used to get away with it, wired up lots of stuff ok.. (err.. I assume), but the new test prohibits people like me from job applications in electronics/electrical/computer work, esp: any wiring! They used to just hold up 4 wires, red, blue, yellow & looked.. grey to me.. but knew it had to be green. I'm partially colour blind on light greens, dark browns/reds. I wouldn't get a job wiring up a passenger aircraft these days. They're so.. ! strict..! lol

So yeah.. possible.. all those years ago..

Sorry for the late reply, I've just got back in from a trip out to my regular rural dark site... been viewing comet Q2 Lovejoy.

EASY naked-eye from a good dark site.
Without optical aid it looked to me to be a little brighter than delta Arietis (magnitude 4.3) which it was right beside tonight.
Tail was visible with 80mm binocs.
Comet brightness estimate: 3.8/3.9
