thanks for posting this. it raises a number of questions which few of the other posters cannot entertain.

All those windows and doors = plenty of escape routes.

Not everyone should have died, unless the family were tied up or killed before.

if they were present in the mansion, especially in different rooms, all or most should have escaped.

and any staff and animals.

not far-fetched to imagine they had fire suppression in the form of sprinklers or automatically closing doors.


foul play seems possible.

A tech tycoon, his wife and their four grandchildren were killed after a devastating blaze ripped through their Annapolis mansion in the early hours of Monday, a local headteacher has confirmed.

Emergency crews in Annapolis were scrambled to the blaze at the waterfront home of Don Pyle, a former CEO, but were unable to save the couple and the children.

Pyle, 56, lived in the 16,000sq ft home with his wife Sandra and their two adult sons. Authorities are yet to confirm the deaths but a local headteacher sent out a letter to staff and students on Tuesday confirming the family had been killed.

Real people are on an island somewhere waiting for the payout. The bodies are probably some homeless people.

I would tend to believe if they were away someone would have known about it.

where are the parents of the grandchildren?

They are prime suspects I would imagine.

I have no idea.

I've read that the grandkids were there for the 3-day weekend and I've read in other areas where the extended family lived in part of the property. My first thought, too, was "where are the parents." They would know if the kids were in the house or if they were out of town or not. That is unless the grandparents had a habit of taking the private jet down to the Bahamas like other grandparents take their grandkids to the zoo.
