I used to try to defend Christ and Christianity when someone on the internet posted something wrong or demeaning. Now I just mostly smile and scroll over the thread.

This is because in times past, I've explained points about Christianity over and over again to people- who really don't get it, and don't want to get it. But they heard the truth. Most or probably all unbelievers who frequent sites like this -have- been exposed to the true gospel many times. If they choose to reject it: that's not on me, or you, for that matter.

BOTH the Old and New testaments of New Age Bibles are vastly different from the text of the King James Version Bible. These differences are clearly seen with study.

The New Testament of New Age bibles is based on a Greek text that is widely accepted by scholars (teachers) called the Nestle/Aland Greek New Testament.
This Greek New Testament is based in large part on the Greek manuscripts (MS) called "B" also called “Vaticanus” (it was found in the Vatican Library in 1481A.D.)
AND "Aleph" also called “Sinaiticus” (it was found in 1844 A.D. in a trash pile outside a monastery at the base of Mt. Sinai) , B and Aleph contradict each other in over 3,000 places in Matthew through John (the four Gospels) alone.

B has 8000 changes and Aleph has 9000, they are not the same changes. Together Aleph and B alter the Majority text in about 13,000 places. Together Aleph and B omit 4000 words, add 2000 words, transpose 3500 words, and modify 2000 words.
As of the year 1967 “B” and “Aleph” were two of only 45 manuscripts (often called the minority manuscripts or Alexandrian indicating quantity and source) that support the Nestle/Aland Greek text.

As of 1967 The Received text (the base of KJV) had at least 5,210 texts (often called the majority manuscripts or Byzantine) that rarely disagree with themselves and each other. They consist of 88 papyrus fragments, 267 uncial manuscripts (large capital letter documents), 2,764 cursive manuscripts (self explanatory), 2,143 lectionary manuscripts (These are portions of Scripture that were read on certain days of the church year.) that go along with the TR (Textus Receptus) text that underlies the KJV.

The theory behind the acceptance of the less than 1% of manuscripts New Age bibles are based on is that "The oldest are the best." The oldest are not necessarily the best, especially if they have been tampered with by heretics! (see Galatians 1:6-7)

In total there are 45 manuscripts that support the Nestle/Aland Greek text used as the base for New Age bibles (New Testament), and 5,210 that support the Textus Receptus text that is the base of the King James Version of the Bible. (New Testament)
that’s a 1 to 115.7 ratio for the number of witnesses New Age Bibles to KJV

The KJV Old Testament is from the Hebrew to English Ben Chayyim Masoretic Text(1524-25) The New Age Bibles Old Testament is commonly from the Heb/Eng Ben Asher Biblia Hebrica texts Kittel and Stuttgart (BHK 1937 & BHS 1967-77) with frequent use of Non-Hebrew texts in Greek, Latin, or Syriac. Jesus spoke of the Hebrew text by his use of one jot and one tittle in Matthew 5:18. New Age bibles replace these words because they favor the Non Hebrew texts.

Textus Receptus (the text the KJV is based on)
1) is based on the vast majority of the 5000+ Greek manuscripts in existence.
2) is not mutilated with deletions, additions, changes and attacks on itself.
3) it agrees with the earliest versions of the Bible:

The King James Version of the Bible is like a map written by God. It is complete, 100 percent accurate, detailed and trustworthy to guide us along the narrow way to life. The New Age Bibles are like many New maps written by Satan that are incomplete, full of errors, missing many things leading those who use them to stumble and fall or to become lost on the broad way to destruction.

By showing ( verses that support the text of the KJV ) and witness against the text, or lack of text in New Age Bibles I hope and pray you will see plainly the attack on the True Word of God.
Notice the New Age Bibles say Elhanan killed Goliath in 2Sam 21:19, Not Goliaths Brother. Then many of them point out the contradiction with 1 Chr 20:5 in a footnote.

These added words where often not needed in the original language to express the meaning, or are implied through context. These words are placed in [brackets] within this work to give them even grater emphasis or ease of recognition. The KJV is a Word for Word translation NOT a paraphrase.

Things aren't true just because you believe it. How can a thinking person possibly still believe in such a contrived unnatural religion as yours is. I don't understand how your thinking process works.

I get the fact that everything is created by God, but the Jesus Christ part just sounds like it was tacked on to make up a strange religion that has nothing to do with anything factual.

And don't forget, eveone in earth except Noah and is family was destroyed in the great Flood, so we are all descended from Noah's family.

Pretty funny. :) I don't know about facts to back it up, but the reason I know that Jesus is real is from personal experience.

I was raised Baptist. In this religion, you are supposed to get saved after the age of 12. Before twelve, you're still a child, so you don't have to worry about it. Once I reached the age of 13, I started to worry about it and think that I really needed to get saved. I was shy, so the thought of standing up in front of the whole congregation and go down to get saved was stressful.

Anyway, I talked another adult into going up with me. When the pastor made the call I stood up with a feeling of stress and embarassment and immediately that melted away, because I felt the holy spirit wash over me and fill me.

It was an unearthly feeling and I felt like I loved every person on the planet. It lasted all day, until I woke up the next morning and felt like a regular person again. Anyway, this experience showed me that Jesus is real.

That contradiction alone would turn a person away from organized religion. Imagine if there was a person here who never heard of religion, and the only thing they read was this thread. Would that person have ANY reason to believe the "love" and "peace" of your religion after reading about hell and being spit out like vomit from God's mouth?
