GD I had such a crush on her when I (and she) was younger. Late 70's when she was living with the Jesuit governor of CA Jerry Brown / Hasten Down the Wind era (now there's a story for Dave McGowan's Laurel Canyon book - Jer's Lt. Gov was Mike Curb who had a shady past in the "music" business if you know what I mean while the Gov himself was shacked up with prime LR not in the Gov's mansion which the Jesuit considered gauche but a crash pad in Sacto - at least officially).

Think of all the singers and musicians in the world - do they sit back and wait for someone to get them going? No - they are playing everywhere and anywhere they can.
