OP, I want you to know, I understand what you are feeling, and how these types of things can hurt you. I understand the deep connection you feel too.

I'm just saying, there are assholes of every religion. We should stop viewing those people as representatives of that religion (or even as human beings), because when we spend all our time fighting against religions, we turn the whole religion against us. There are a lot of moderates in the world who side with the extremists just because they don't trust us. If we weren't dicks to everyone we meet, and didn't bomb civilians just because of our war on terror, we'd probably be able to convince at least half of them to start handing us the heads of extremists. Instead, they are sitting there watching us burning Korans and desecrating their holy sites, so when one of theirs does the same to us, they just say, "fuck it, they had it coming."


I think it's a time to declare war on assholes. We'd have less religious extremists and no politicians left. I'd say that's a win-win situation in my book.
