She was very pretty thirteen years ago when he married her, but she is now (at least according to the photos) obese. The same thing happened to my sister who married a VERY handsome man, and they have been together for 20 years now.

I think it shows a great deal of character and depth in a person to look beyond the physical into his (or her) partner's soul and value him/her for other, more important qualities.

Maybe there is a REASON why some women (or men) gain weight, and they truly cannot help it. Should their partners leave them for only that reason? I don't think so. (And, just btw, I am a size 6.)
