Honesty
HONESTY:

If you are honest with yourself — and this takes practice — you will discover that many things are not what you once thought they were, that the truth is often opposite to what people prefer to believe. People are fundamentally dishonest with themselves. "Denial" is epidemic in society. Since people are not even honest with themselves, what would make you think they are somehow honest with each other, or you? President Bush Sr. declared, "I have opinions of my own — strong opinions — but I don't always agree with them." This is the voice of an absolute hypocrite. But, in this false world, everyone plays a phony role; people deceive others as readily as they deceive themselves. The evil ones cherish the grand deception the most. They are people of the lie. False beings, the majority, have no fundamental honesty, as we can see from universal corruption, abuse, deception, oppression, exploitation, cunning, thievery, unfairness, untruth, and injustice.

Honesty, like love (and all of the inner qualities of a true spiritual being), may be a genuine motivation in one's choices and actions. But, this is true only for a small minority of people. Most people do not have this heartfelt quality within them; they are not honest with themselves or others. People complain about how corrupt business is, but fraud and theft within companies cost US businesses $400 billion per year. Employees excuse away their evilness by saying their company is unfair. But, do two wrongs make a right? Does good ever come from evil? Can Reality ever be a product of illusions? Does Truth or honesty grow via lies and deception? The fact is, it is very hard for a True spiritual being to lie, whereas lying is second nature to the evil ones. Lies flow more easily from the tongues of demons than does the truth. The Lie is true to them. Pathological liars, like O.J. Simpson, convince themselves that they are telling the truth, to the extent that their lies do not even show up on a lie detector. They experience no stress, no adverse reactions, to lying, deceiving, cheating — and even murdering. As we shall see, the masses have no conscience, no basic honesty, love, or truth in them. They idolize, accept, and excuse the dishonesty, abuse, and exploitation others may do, just as long as it is not done to them. But, when it is, watch out; they respond with murderous rage, hate, and unremitting evilness.

It has been said that the first casualty in any war is the truth. In Bosnia, the Serbs raped tens of thousands of Muslim women and then had the audacity to show videotapes of themselves performing these acts on Serbian news programs, claiming that they showed Bosnians raping Serb women. Evil has mastered the perverse art of denying its evil acts and accusing those who can see its evil of doing what it has done. Evil people, who refuse to see their own evilness, project evil upon the innocent.

Like love, good people tend to project honesty onto others — we assume that others have this quality just because we do. This is a very big mistake. And, it is the basis upon which all con men operate. Con men have mastered the art of acting as if they trust you; then you cannot help but trust them, and be exploited. That works far better than directly trying to get you to trust them. (As you may recall, we have defined confidence men to include not just common criminals, but politicians, preachers, and the like.) Without any doubt, people you trust lie to you, take advantage of your misplaced trust, exploit you emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially, and bring you greater suffering. Preachers lie to you; experts and authorities lie to you; leaders lie to you; economists lie to you; teachers lie to you; bankers lie to you; business people lie to you; car salesmen lie to you; politicians lie to you; your parents lie to you; children lie; spouses lie; friends lie; the media lie to you; scientists lie to you; and on and on. If you imagine that any of these categories of people is really honest, you are just programmed and brainwashed by your society.

The great lie is that everything is as it appears to be, on the surface, or is as the authorities have told you. This world is a web of lies and untruths, carefully woven to conceal the truth and to trap the unsuspecting. Shakespeare wrote, "Ay, sir; to be honest as this world goes, is to be one man picked out of ten thousand." The truth is the rarest thing in this world. We do not even know our true identities, or those of others. Incarnating in this virtual world is a process of being given a false identity. People act as if they are who and what they are not; deception is the rule, not the exception. Those of the evil essence often conceal their evil intentions, and put on an appearance of being "good" and "honest." In fact, they try to cover up everything.

Government, especially, is the master of disinformation. Your government is supposed to represent you and your true interests, but it keeps many truths hidden, to "protect" you. This includes your government's covert actions (such as the CIA's role in trading in drugs in Asia); its suppression of whistle-blowers (who reveal government waste in the hundreds of millions of dollars); its demonizing of foreign figures it wishes to bring down who are actually quite progressive leaders (such as "the madman" Muammar Qadaffi); its labeling of American citizens as threats to society if they are not blind to the faults of the government (as is commonly done by the FBI); and its suppression of information about things it just does not want you to know about (like UFOs, which do exist, and which your government knows exist, contrary to everything it tells you). Government, religion, science, etc. are not the protectors of the truth, but its greatest destroyers. Like some kind of cancerous organism, they destroy anyone or anything they perceive to be a threat to their own lies and sick existence. Just try finding scientists, religionists, or government bureaucrats who will admit that UFOs exist, despite the thousands of documented occurrences and actual videotapings they dismiss as "false." In all of these institutions skeptics are cherished as the saviors of mankind, despite their total ignorance, denial, unawareness, and lies. Skeptics, who seek to keep everyone unaware, are being revealed daily for the liars and fools they truly are. So, before you assume that everything is just as it appears to be on the surface, you should know that almost everything is the opposite of what it seems.

Nothing is as it appears to be in this world. Unless you are aware, and do not accept everyone and everything at face value — on appearances — you will be trapped and exploited by those who are not what they appear to be. Hypocrisy is used to trap people in the Church, while repelling people from God. In one example, an archbishop of the Catholic Church resigned after he was accused of having sex with a number of women — even telling them to go on birth control pills so that he would not get them pregnant. Other priests in his church were having sex with young boys and girls; hundreds of children had been abused by more than 20 priests in that area. Every attempt at telling the archbishop of the abuse that was occurring was met with denial. Why? Because he was basically as guilty as the other priests in exploiting his authority, abusing people, ruining their lives, and destroying their faith in God. Do not have misguided trust in those who have no true inner spiritual being, whose lives are a perverse lie. Honesty — like True — is avoided by evil ones, like daylight by the proverbial vampire. They have covert, perverted, exploitative agendas, to match their evil natures; and honesty has no place of resonance within them. In church, evil beings often must be addressed as "father" by good true spiritual beings. What a lie! The church has also preached the benevolence of slavery; white men who owned slaves had to be called "master." As we can see, those who have power or authority never question their own evilness, arrogance, corruption, exploitation, abuse, and lies. This is why you must question things.

Racism is very much a part of life around the world. It is a lie, but a popular one. In the US, schools are more segregated today than they were in 1954, ten years before the civil rights movement, a time when the law required separate facilities for educating whites and blacks. Racial prejudice has shaped US history, and the legacy of racial oppression and slavery continues today. The fundamental lie of white superiority has been preached by religions and governments as gospel truth. Historically, those who embrace this lie feel they are being obedient to their "god"; those who believe or act differently are ostracized by their society and harassed by their government. This has been the case not only in the obvious example of South Africa, but in the US; racism is just covered up better there. In the US, proportionally more blacks are in prison than in South Africa under apartheid. With one in four young black Americans in jail, on probation, or on trial in our "justice system," are we not being somehow dishonest about things; is there not an unpleasant truth here that society refuses to face? Yet, many people will more readily believe the lie that blacks just seem to be a race of criminals, thieves, and drug users. The dominant white culture cannot be honest with itself or anyone else, especially those it oppresses. The evilness of society is its most damning truth.

What is honesty? Everywhere people move their lips, and speak, though they have absolutely no idea what the truth is. They voice opinions; they repeat the popular programming, propaganda, or indoctrination; they speak out of ignorance. Can this be called honesty or truth? Honesty requires some element of truth, self-referral, finding a place within you which resonates with the truth. Honesty ultimately demands a true inner being and conscience. Psychologists are naive in thinking that something as superficial as personality or social skills reveals a person's inner nature, or true intent. Evil people such as serial killers often have charming personalities and social skills, as do politicians. Psychologists generally cannot fathom the concept of evil, or recognize it, or even admit that it exists. Being the good social scientists that they are, they imagine that everything must have a physical cause, or can be traced back to childhood or brain chemistry. Their endless personality surveys and behavioral analyses do not even hint at or reveal the true identity of a given person, whether they are good or evil. In fact, a person who "loves" his beer, sports, family, religion, work, school, friends, and country — and is willing to mindlessly kill and die for that country or for beliefs that are quite hypocritical — is judged to be socially normal, healthy, and "good."

This world has no tolerance for the truth. It cherishes and cultivates illusions, ego, pride, ambition, selfishness, materialism, hedonism, hate, conflict, exploitation, and the destruction of true inner spiritual values. Honesty makes people angry. People hate to have their illusions pierced, their "cover" blown, their evil exposed, their true natures revealed, their pettiness and interest in only themselves revealed. Honesty is derided — we are told that we are not supposed to say things that are not "nice," that we are to overlook what is wrong in people, to never be blunt, to never say the truth outright, to not hurt anyone's feelings. Well, the truth is, if you were honest with your self and others —equally — you would in fact soon have very few friends, very few relatives wanting to hang around you, very few organizations or institutions willing to put up with your simple honesty.

Honesty demands the truth.

Beyond everything else, honesty requires a realization of spiritual truth. Honesty demands an acceptance that evil exists — not the acceptance of evil, but acknowledgement that it exists. Here's an analogy: think of the television and radio stations across the US, broadcasting their programming and messages via electromagnetic waves. No matter where you are, those waves are passing through you, and your brain, right now. It does not require a television set in order for those already transmitted waves to be present; they are omnipresent. Evil is like that. It is like an underlying electromagnetic field that permeates our physical world. Most people are tuned in to its energy, its message, and its program, all the time; they just do not know it. And, they dance to the music.

Perhaps no one has ever told you this, but beneath their superficial physical appearances there are many demons walking around in human bodies. They have come from the darkest depths of hell, been "born" (incarnated) on this level, and permeated every part of society (many are "trusted leaders"). Evil beings do not have any inner awareness of a Divine Being or greater Good; they lack the inner spiritual essences of light, love, power, wisdom, honesty, peace, and perseverance. And, being made to serve evil, they see evil as good and good as bad. They are dishonest; their lives are spiritually deceptive, exploitative, and a lie. It is uncanny how seemingly pleasant, kind, or sweet-voiced the most evil demons can be. They have learned to pretend to be the opposite of what they really are. They can act extremely kind and considerate — not out of true love or caring, but solely to gain acceptance by and control of others. If you remember that there is very little true love in this world, and do not mistakenly project goodness onto people, you will begin to see them as they truly are.

The Evil lie that all people are good is being exposed, daily. It is essential to rely upon one's own true inner wisdom for guidance in all matters, and not leave one's fate to the imagined benevolence of others. Never let your own trust, honesty, or love be a means of making you unaware or ignorant of the truth — and more readily exploited by others. You must be more wise than that.

Dishonesty and it's 'benefits' (of which there are arguably many) is, I believe, pursued primarily by those people with the greatest attachment to any number of things (a lifestyle, an ideology, a self-image, etc).

One can only be truly honest, with themselves and others, once they transcend fear and attachment.

Oh, and dishonesty may not always be synonomous with lying.

Fwiw, I think that there is no harm in posting a response to a thread prior completely reading it (depending on length). It may simply mean the responder is enthusiastic about the topic and wants to make a short quick positive response first and then read more.

From what I've seen, I'd tend to agree.

However, it is also true that you've got to fight to defend even the speech you hate the most. For instance, I believe it was Larry Flint who said that. I DETEST his magazine, think it's crude and not even arousing. However, I fucking LOVE what he's done for us. And everyone else should too.

There's no question here, you got to give everybody equal rights. Regardless if you agree with them or not, that should be inmaterial.

But I refer to a previous post of mine where I said:
