The cree flood myth is a pretty good one. All the earths accounts of the ice age ice melt catastrophy are good actually.

There is a very secret message hidden in the flood itself about the end times on where the flood comes from and the latter day flood/rain.

Except that God promised he would never flood the earth again..........

Actually, God put within the first humans the genetics for all races of humans, so it goes back further than Noah

Just because you have a good message doesn't mean people will listen. You have to know how to properly reach peoples hearts. Obviously Noah was a washout in the charisma department.
Seems to me that picking Noah was a way to ensure the deaths of billions.

Was God looking for some "charismatic preacher" full of ear pleasers, or did he want someone faithful who would carry out the assignment?

The message was pretty clear, God is flooding the earth because of the incredible violence and immorality, change your ways, help with the ark, and save yourself from this wicked generation

Noah was a preacher of righteousness. Real preachers of God's word tend to have small congregations.

What makes the words of that philosopher, historian, Jewish Theologian, Talmudist, and physician worthy of more consideration than the revealed word of God?

In this world we live in, with all it's absurdities, the story of the flood, in all it's simplicity as it is explained is "gross ignorance"?

To ignore the flood, and it's prophetic significance is what results in gross ignorance
