Re: Prophecies Jesus gave in Mathew 24 and Revevelation require internet and smartphone
Everything in Mathew is for Israel, the elect who will be the bride, they are the ones who will go out in the great commission to reach the lost sheep. People will tabernacle in place, no need for a temple. Go read Ephesians Ch 2.

The same day is talked about in scripture time and again, this information is about the end of the disciple's own dispensation, which is in abeyance because they rejected their King.
Meanwhile this MYSTERY dispensation that was hid in God's foreknowledge, is about the Church of Grace. Read Ephesians Ch 2.

The Bride is not the Church of grace which is the BODY of Christ. GO read Eph ch.2.

The disciples asked Jesus about their own end in Glory, not the end that Jesus was talking about, he was talking about the destruction mentioned in verse 35 of Matt ch 24.

No less than seven times is glory mentioned by Jesus in Matt 24. The end of their dispensation ( suntelia the accumulation that is the end of a dispensation, their own is not the very end the telos of verse 35), ends in Glory.

We participate in that glory with Christ who is the groom. The bride of Christ is not the Body of Christ.

The only ones going forward are those who are not consumed by the cleansing flood, the fire.

Malachi 3:6 is very clear WHO goes forward, WHO is protected, WHO lives. The rest are ashes days after the rapture. The wicked that emerge thereafter are exclusively :the sons of Jacob.

Out of the Sons of Jacob are the Bride and her children, now go read Isiah Ch 66.

That makes this a contradiction:

2 Thessalonians 2 kjv

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

---

If there is no physical temple - how will this man of sin - sit in a temple and show us that he is god?

---

Also makes this in Matthew 24 a contradiction:

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

---

My question again is - How are you going to SEE him from a roof or field without a mobile device?

Re: Prophecies Jesus gave in Mathew 24 and Revevelation require internet and smartphone
Great article sums up what has happened, what is happening and what we can expect to happen in these end times:

Excerpt:

Technology

While much of Bible prophecy has become known in this age of unsealing, many future events (as depicted in Revelation) continue to baffle students of Bible prophecy. However, as we continue to press on into the apocalyptic age, advancements in technology present very viable options for just how the Antichrist will completely rule the earth (Revelation 13).

Previous despots and tyrants unsuccessfully tried to use only military and/or political might to control the nations, but NONE was able to control all of them. What was lacking then was not just the technological means to do implement control, but also the spiritual means (see Luke 4:5-6, 2 Thess. 2:7). However, here are three technologies today that will make this form of total control possible, once the spiritual restraints are removed....

And Pharaoh sealed the decree:

Genesis 41:44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76629009

What is the significance of Pharaoh's changing Joseph's name:

From Biblehub:

Matthew Henry Commentary

41:33-45 Joseph gave good advice to Pharaoh. Fair warning should always be followed by good counsel. God has in his word told us of a day of trial before us, when we shall need all the grace we can have.

Now, therefore, provide accordingly. Pharaoh gave Joseph an honourable testimony.

He is a man in whom the spirit of God is; and such men ought to be valued. Pharaoh puts upon Joseph marks of honour. He gave him such a name as spoke the value he had for him, Zaphnath-paaneah, a revealer of secrets.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76631018

Pharaoh gave Joseph Potiphera's daughter hand in marriage; making Joseph's naturalization complete by this alliance with a family of high distinction.

Genesis 41:45...and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75479649

The Pharaoh's dream came true - there were seven plentiful years of harvest:

Genesis 41:46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47 And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75416647

Joseph gathered up so much food it was difficult to keep count of it:

Genesis 41:8 And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

49 And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.

God makes it very clear - he gathered together all the dispersed Tribes on the earth - and there will be no more envy or hate between them..

He specifically mentions the name Ephraim:

Isaiah 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Looking at the beginning of verse 12 Isaiah 11 - we're told that an ensign will be set up.

We first encounter this ensign verse 10:

10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

What or who is this ensign?

Here's an article that answers that question

The Jesus Question:

Small Excerpt:

Paul paraphrases this passage in Romans 15, linking it explicitly to Christ: “For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy.

. . . Isaiah says, ‘The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope’” (vv. 8–9a, 12). Here Paul drives home the plural peoples and nations that Isaiah uses: the messiah has come not just for the J***s but for the whole world...

The rod is used for judgement.

In men's hands it is usually wielded unequally.

In Jesus' hands it will be fair & just.

Let's see - where can we start with the thousands of prophecies that have come true in the bible.

We'll start with Jesus:

400 Prophecies of Christ in the Old Testament

Small Excerpt:

In the ultimate sense, every verse of Scripture points in one way or another to the promised Messiah, because the entire Bible describes the coming of God into human history to establish His righteous kingdom over Satan, his demons, and unredeemed humanity. I hope you find this work uplifting and encouraging...

BTW - Matthew 24:9-12 are ALL true today

AND verses 1-8 have already been fulfilled.

In Isaiah chapter 11 we learn a little bit about the 2nd coming of Jesus:

1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord

---

According to biblehub The branch is a well known name of the Messiah

We also learn a little bit about the millennial kingdom and how Jesus will rule this kingdom:

Isaiah 1:1....there shall come forth a rod

----

The rod is used for judgement.

In men's hands it is usually wielded unequally.

In Jesus' hands it will be fair & just.

More on how Jesus will rule this earth:

Isaiah 11:4...with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins...

From Gill's exposition on Isaiah 11:2

Jesus will have

Excerpt:

The spirit of wisdom and understanding;

which appeared...in his answers to the ensnaring questions of the Scribes and Pharisees...and in his conduct at his apprehension, trial, condemnation, and death; as also in the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding he imparted to his disciples, and does more or less to all his people:

The spirit of counsel and might;

of "counsel", which fitted him to be the wonderful Counsellor...all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge were hid in him...

Isaiah 11:3 ...he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears

----

If he doesn't judge by the sight of his eyes or hearing - that leaves smell.

Perhaps evil will have a rotten smell i.e. rotten eggs
