I have a 1997 Little Golden Book. On the back of the book there is a bunch of characters, one is an elephant. His elbow looks phallic and his back like balls.

However, if you google "The Saggy Baggy Elephant" you can see the original picture on the cover of the old book. The lines are totally different and don't make a penis.

I thoought that too, just that the original didn't look like that. However (and seriously) the Saggy Baggy Elephant now looks more like Saggy Baggy Balls.

No, the lines on the elbow and the back, especially where his back sags are definitely different. His back looks more like balls now.

on the original cover, the elephant's spine stuck out, like a normal spine. Now, on the new elephant copy-cat the spine folds inwards, dividing ball sacks. Sounds funny, but true.

The elbow does look like a small penis, but the head is the penis head for the ballsy a$$.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
