Let's hope so! To make that happen, I imagine that it is time to notify the head of the Crown Prosecution Service that the British Public expects actual prosecutions to take place. It will be very interesting to see how this will be presented (a) by the BBC and (b) in the press, from tomorrow onwards.

With the UK General Election set to take place in May, this really is a sensational development: the Lib Dems must be heaving the most enormous sighs of relief that such major Tory and Labour ex-FM's as Rifkind and (Man o' ) Straw have so spectacularly befouled themselves. This has really thrown them a lifeline. And, of course, Straw's claims to have his own 'proven' track record of effective 'under the radar' influence in Brussels could be a great stick for Farage to wield, if he can figure out which end of the story to pick up.

Most of all, I hope that this will help to generate a focus for Popular British Outrage, PBO. it will be very interesting to see whether Monday's UK Column News report ( live net broadcast at 13:00 and 21:00 GMT ) will offer any suggestions for any sustained action programme.

Another very good reason for loathing Straw is the actions he took as Home Secretary to slap legal duct-tape across the mouths of children who have been abused, another whole long, outrageous chapter in the saga of the troughs of power in Westminster.

Straw got the Israelis pissed off because he mentioned that AIPAC has too much power over US politics and the settlements in the West Bank are illegal.

Rifkind I don't know why he has been targeted but every elected politician from dogcatcher to POTUS is on the take.
