That took place on the Black Sea, and it claimed many more lives than the sinking of Wilhelm Gustloff.

I will NEVER accept that ANY German victims of the Allied War Crimes “had it coming to them” and I categorically REJECT that the helpless German victims of the Wilhelm Gustloff sinking were “victims of Joseph Goebbels” and of “Nazi propaganda”! NO, they were the victims of an Allied (Soviet) War Crime, and secondly, of a very cruel twist of fate. They knew what was coming and what had already taken place, and they believed that they might be able to escape the hate and bestiality of the Soviet onslaught with a last minute rescue bid, and find safety in the west. But sadly, what they thought would be their “life saver” turned out to be certain death for the vast majority on board that ship, on that fateful winter night on the Baltic Sea, on the 30th of January, 1945.

When will the hunt for the perpetrators commence? Likely never, because most if not all are dead, but even some are alive, they no doubt sleep soundly at night, knowing that no one gives a damn about dead Germans. There is no Simon Weaselthal manhunt taking place to find the surviving members of the submarine crew that did carried out this “Crime Against Humanity”, nor for the pilots who firebombed Dresden, for the soldiers who raped our women, who starved our surrendered troops to death, and ethnically cleansed millions of Germans, etc etc etc.

But I remember, and I honour them!
