I think it is a mix of both 1984 or BNW. When I read both books in the past I thought I prefered BNW to 1984 because it was so bleak and ugly. Now I am not so sure. We are inundated with fear 24/7 these days. We are also taking massive quantities of prescription medication and supplements of various sorts..
