easy to make your own, it's just sodium bicarbonate and dissolved citric acid.

no need for to add a neurotoxin in it for sweetening effect.

Re: Even alka-seltzer has Aspartame in it now!
i've always just used sodium bicarbonate in water when i've had acid stomach.

i don't drink soda, or chew gum,

i was just perusing MSDS of products that people can make themselves without all the 'inert' ingredients,

and i know the apsartame company has got contracts with everything to sell their product.

it never used to be in gum,

but now in alka seltzer??

Bragg's Vinegar gets your stomach problem solved, baking soda simply provides a thrust back of your stomach acid to levels that digest your food. It is not the same thing as stomach acid but it does raise your acidic level.

Yes, the problem is too little stomach acid not too much. We have all at one point or another been brainwashed. The idea of "indigestion," is quite a clue isn't it? Obviously the food is not digesting due to low stomach acid, and it slurps around causing discomfort.

Aspartame is very very bad news, but also you should take care of the real problem. If you think this is absurd, just try Bragg's Vinegar once and prove the whole thing wrong if you can.

"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address

Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests:

"Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world."

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein

Re: Even alka-seltzer has Aspartame in it now!
5 stars, OP!!!!
Thank you for making this thread! It is really important
that people know about this.

I've done quite a lot of research on asparatame--known
generally as "Equal" and "Nutrasweet" in the past--due
to having asparatame poisoning in 2006. I was working
at a place where I had to be on the phone constantly and
have severe allergies. So I was using Advil Cold and
Sinus and large quantities of "Alka Seltzer Cold" (in
the drink form. I'd have maybe 4 or 5 of these in the
course of 8 hours to kill my cough. It worked beautifully
but I gained an accumulated "asparatame load" that just
about killed me! Symptoms for me were similar to diabetes
and MS! After a month-long detox treatment and dropping
ANYTHING diet, artificially sweetened and that medicine
symptoms gradually began to reverse itself until the point where I had complete relief.

My rule of thumb now...if what you are eating or drinking
is sweet and ingredients are NOT SUGAR...stay away from it!
If you are having unusual symptoms and are concerned about having such conditions as "altzheimers disease," "Multiple Sclerosis," "diabetes," "Graves Disorders" and other brain-based diseases (including turmors) Please take the time to check out these links!

If you are coming "off" symptoms of asparatame poisoning,
be careful about reading package labels for ANY processed
foods. They are getting very "crafty" about CHANGING THE
NAME OF "ASPARATAME" to new names to avoid the stigma
of the discoveries about this dangerous sweetener. It is
even contained in some MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS now, so
be sure you check. Children's cough syrup, many candies
and even the sweet coating on many drugs will contain
asparatame. Even very low doses of this chemical ingested AFTER DETOXING from the affects of this poisoning will bring back the symptoms--so once you've discovered this about your body you'll need to develop some behaviors which will protect you from future relapses.

A doctor by the name of Judith Star Hull, M.D. has
done extensive research on this poisoning and the
video "Sweet Misery: Poisoning the World" is a MUST
SEE if you have recently been diagnosed with diabetes,
multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders like
"Graves Disease" or Altzheimers. I'll get a link to
Dr. Hull's webpage in a minute!
[link to articles.mercola.com]
The chemical has been available in foods since the 1980's
with the largest jump in disorders starting around 1983.
This is a serious problem, folks! Take it seriously.
cheers

P.S. There is NO asparatame in my cookies.
