Yep. I live in one of those areas... beautiful, remote and... arid. People keep moving here with their city water 'needs' with no concept of what will happen one day soon.

The ancient aquifers, slow to recharge, are being tapped and the water tables are dropping at an alarming rate. These newcomers still shower multiple times a day, wash their cars and run the tap while they brush their teeth, along with blogging more idiots into thinking they can have their own little piece of heaven here.

It's gonna get real ugly.
