I just ran across an article about which states' taxes hit the average American the hardest, and in this poor economic climate I thought others might like to know about it. [ link to www.moneytalksnews.com] The list comes from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP). Here are the top four on their list: 1. Washington. 2. Florida. 3. Texas. 4. South Dakota.
