Last summer when I was sitting outside smoking cigs, a hummingbird would come right up next to me and hover there for the longest time...I could have reached right out and touched it, it was that close.
He/she would do this almost every time I was out there..and it always made me jump because they sound like a big bee or bug coming at you..LOL
Not sure if he/she was thanking me for always keeping a fresh feeder out or what it was doing..but it would hover beside me as I sat in the chair against the brick part of our house..
There were no flowers or feeders there..I would not be wearing bright colors or wearing perfumes..
It would never do this if others were out there with me, though..
Hope to see it this summer :)
