I'd erroneously forgotten to buy the red/black plaid wool shirt that is the Canadian Bon Vivant's usual attire so I didn't really fit in. You must wear the plaid ... And in cooler weather the "Canadian Tuxedo" for fancy occasions - jeans and a jean jacket ... Oh, good, stereotypes. A pith helmet would have elicited a completely different response in the colonies.
