To know people – to know whether they are loyal, true, strong, wise and generous – you only have to observe how they go through ordeals. As long as everything is going well for them and nothing is troubling them or making them suffer, it is impossible to know what they are truly worth. If this were not the case, why do you think initiation begins with ordeals? You will have heard of the terrible ordeals to which initiates in ancient times subjected those who wanted to become their disciples. Obviously, in the Universal White Brotherhood, you will not be subjected to such ordeals, and anyway there is no need. But it is very difficult to win an initiate over, and for good reason: they will not accept you into their heart, soul and spirit before checking you out a little, for they cannot run the risk of entrusting their riches to a ship that is likely to sink in the first storm. But if they see the vessel is sturdy, that in spite of the storms the disciple seems stable, resilient and patient – then, yes, the initiate gives them everything they possess: their trust, their love, their respect and their treasures.

Interesting post that follows a very nasty prank phone call that just occurred here....interesting to say the least....spock

That being said, putting people through unnecessary stress when they are trying to heal and cope, relax on their day off after a long week at work, etc. is a pretty sadistic way to get someone to prove themselves. It is likened to hazing imo. Hypocritical too because often the people thinking up ways for someone to prove their integrity and the like, lack and contradict that same integrity delegating such a process. This world is messed up enough. I guess it depends on ethics...which many people lack.

I don't have to prove myself to anyone but myself. Apparently there are those that think otherwise.

Those who hide behind good deeds and a promising love are not excused from the law of cause and effect. It is very simple, if you eat poison, you are then poisoned.

that being said, such proof works both ways....feather, heart and scales...

there's no such thing as "initiates" other than in mankinds ritual imaginations and machinations hereupon

and you've been foretold all things
