How about a discussion as to why a profitable coffee chain such as Starbucks pays poverty wages to their workers many who are from a visible minority group. Way to deflect from the real issues Starbucks! Let's talk about race rather than Starbucks and other retail chains poverty wages, part time hours and no benefits for their workers.

How about they talk about over-priced, shitty coffee instead?

If anyone from ANY establishment I visit tries this crap on me, I'll ask for my money back and walk out and NEVER return.

Last time I was there, it was not busy in the drive-thru so I drove right up to the window where I was met by some person who wanted to lecture me for not stopping at the microphone stop to order.

Nope. Don't need their coffee or their lectures.

And people getting their $5 coffee can feel like they made a difference in the world because of their engaging discussions with another myopic, entitled idiot, without actually having to do anything to change the world at all.

The first time that happens to me I will be accidentally spilling by Mocha Latte Grande all over their floor. Oops!

It's a divide and distract strategy at play. The American economy is sinking like a stone and no amount of phony happy talk is going to change that fact so to distract people from their declining standard of living have them fight amongst themselves by stirring up old racial hatreds so that people don't unite and kick out of power the bastards responsible for their misery.

I moved to Quebec 6 years ago for work. I returned to my hometown in Idaho a few months ago. I have never seen race relations worse than in all my 54 years. I personally feel Obama has sent the race relations back 40 years or more.

White people have made tremendous progress, in accepting blacks more and blacks were starting to act civilized enough to be accepted. The 1990's were actually a good time for race relations despite the Rodney King beating.

Then. Obama.

Here we are on the verge of civil war. Glad I live in Canada. Here, the blacks are forced to act civilized or get a beating.
