You are assuming that the radioactive substances will spread evenly throughout the whole mass of the Pacific. They don't. You are forgetting currents and winds. California has already been hit by massive amounts of radioactive isotopes. Lots of animals are dying or very sick, and you are eating contaminated fish. |

I don't think they are trying to poison the planet or the oceans, but that may be a by product of what they are doing. IMO Japan is building nukes in preparation for war with China. The reactor is being run hot and dirty to get the necessary material. And the leak is both necessary to that endeavor and makes for a good cover. After all, who will go into the reactor to check for missing nuclear material. But you know its a nice excuse, Question: "hey where did all the nuclear material go?" Answer "Oh well, you know, it melted.. vanished... its gone... but you know you are welcome to check it out yourself."  But then again its just speculation on my part. Pheculatus |

The accident became known outside the USSR because Sweden was reached by the smoke plume. The corium is still there and you can find photos of it. There were also explosions at Fukushima but the cores as a whole didn't explode. |
