Wonder if Otis was related to that black guy in Texas (James Byrd) who was dragged to death behind a pickup? That would be an interesting twist to the story.

Not at all. Unfortunately, there's a big part of this sleeping population that will. Your right, I was just thinking this same thing. I am thinking either the blacks did it then figured they would make it look like whites did it, or the government had it done so they can step all over the whites some more.
