Your link didn't work being that you enclosed it in a youtube tag, btw... I'll relink it here: [link to www.splendidtable.org] But also remember that sharing seeds increases biodiversity that will make the plants even more resilient, especially when combined with local sources. It bans/severely restricts seed-saving, home food production and the use of medicinal herbs. Save your seeds! [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63140100 [link to en.wikipedia.org] I agree with the point you're making... But where does it say how it restricts seed-saving? That page entry may have been edited to omit that part. |

Not a great idea to just stuff seeds in a drawer for ten years Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68678167 Actually quite a few seeds require over wintering before they give good germination ratio. Most can be kept ALONG time provided you keep them dry and cool. A fridge works great to both keep and force overwinter. |

God forbid your seeds cross pollinate with Monsatans. Quoting: Genghis_Khan This is an attack on Heirloom and Self pollinating seeds. I agree totally, hybrid seeds and GMOs are toxic, if not useless... Which may point to whom is behind this move from the state agriculture departments. |

If a hybrid could happen naturally, i'm ok with it. Not with a GMO though. Last Edited by Genghis_Khan on 03/25/2015 11:42 PM I sign any red karma I give, because if it's important enough to give, then it's important enough to know who gave it to you. :Skullspud: |

Their drawback is that their seeds are not guaranteed to have the same traits... They most often revert back to one of their strains without all of the same traits. I have to agree with you again though... my bad for calling them toxic. |
