There is speculation that she is liquidating assets--the churches vast bible collection worth millions is no longer being displayed in the Cathedral's main hall.

It may be Gene Scott's ghost that keeps us awake playing that damn saxaphone. He might not have known that those who play jazz music can't get into heaven when they die. They are doomed to wander the astral plane.

Death

After months of telling God to heal his cancer, on Friday, February 18, 2005, Dr. Scott suffered a stroke. At 4:30 P.M. PST on Monday, February 21, 2005, he died at Glendale Adventist Hospital. Spokesman Mark Travis and Dr. Scott's widow Melissa announced publicly that a staff nurse present as he passed called Melissa, per her instructions, to notify her when "God took Gene's breath away.” She took over his ministry upon his death.
