they are looking into the pesticide in question as being methyl bromide, which is NOT for indoor use.

Quoting: beeches I've only ever seen it as a gas. Put plastic down on plowed rows and inject the gas under the plastic and you kill everything in the soil at least as deep as you plowed. Wait one week and plant into holes in the plastic. Often strawberries. But now other chemicals are used or even just steam.
