I give up. You can't reason with people who absolutely refuse to understand plain logic.

The owner says ok, I'll rent it to you for $XXX a month and signs a lease. The renter says ok, I'll take it, never signs the paper but still expects to live in the house for free. Therefore, there is NO DEAL. It's not rocket science.
