I was busy today up until a bit ago, so I am just catching up on things, like this military parade. I agree Jazzy, and would add honoring those who are and did serve is a hell of a lot more important than "the all mighty fucking dollar" as you so aptly put it!

Thanks Jazzy. I try to keep up with this and Janey's ME thread and make intelligent contributions, but things happen as you said.

By the way, I didn't mean to derail your thread with the Mark Twain quote post. That may be the same poster that with red Karma said "He He!!". There are childish/immature people everywhere; why should here be any different! LOL

my opinion for what it's worth...war with Iran is inevitable...everything has been laid out for such a war, when it will begin is the question none of us can truly answer, we've only seen signs here and there that the pieces have slowly been put into place. To maintain such an alert status for an overextended period of time is costly to the military budget and creates battle fatigue in our combat forces so at some point you either have to pull the trigger or you have to pull back your forces because they will begin to lose their fighting edge. How the war starts is also a question...one side can simply preempt the other based on intel of a coming act by the other or a series of incidents that have occurred or will occur will set off a retaliation by one or both sides that will escalate.

The wildcard in all this is the use of nukes...will the Iranians cross that threshold and will we respond in kind if one or more are used against US or an ally? It's safe to say that if it happens...we will truly be in unchartered territory.

That's my two cents...
