You would understand 'it's' love and know that nothing else compares or matters and that it is you that has failed to understand and to give generously that which was given to you even though it was known that you would misunderstand it!

He did not say that, he said don't worship idols, there is but One God. Love The Lord, that was the commandment like you would a good Father. That way you honor him.

Man was the first to bring a sacrifice, Abel did that, The Lord was pleased at the gift. That is not worship or demanding worship. Obeying oh yes he does demand to be obeyed. The things he asks are for our benefit.

If you had a bad dad I am sorry but The Lord is not bad nor is he a bad Father.

So true. People make God in their own image and are relatively clueless as to our real source. It's hard for the created to comprehend the creator.

There actually might be some truth to that!

I've watched many NDE reports. The ones who find themselves in a heavenly environment report not wanting to return to this earth. The ones who are shown hell find it so terrifying that they drastically change after the experience not wanting to spend eternity in that place.

After all, Jesus did say in Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Whether the many spoken of above is 99% or not, that I can't say.

I sincerely doubt that people meeting God would hate Him for who He is, but they just might hate Him for sentencing them to a hellish environment.

If only they'd considered where they'd be spending eternity while still on this earth!
