I read one of his novels when I was a teenager (can't remember the title).

It was all about acolytes coming under the spell of a sinister master wizard (Crowley, natch) and becoming addicted to sniffing heroin and cocaine.

It was fucking boring.

I've read a few; it doesn't mean I practice the disipline of the writing. Notice how I use the word I.

The philosophy? Why don't you read a few and find out for yourself? It's a bunch of arcane knowledge, not a replacement for what works in the real world where you are. Morality is subjective.

It teaches the moral practice of you get what you ask for, and sometimes more than that.

Some stuff he wrote, he didn't actually write.

I mean, he wrote it inasmuch as his hand was holding the pen on the paper, but that was the extent of it.

I had something similar to that happen to me before (actually, a few times.) It is very ...unexplainable.

Book 4 is an excellent intro.

The Book of Thoth is also very useful.

Yes. Crowley wrote on multiple levels. If you are wallowing in the gutter, on a power trip, or flying with angels, you will find your level and learn. Ignore what is not yours.

Simple.. Crowley breaks down the differences between religion for the masses (sheeple) and religion for religious leaders (elite) and gives you all the inside secret occult info that the Christianity, Judaism, Taoism, etc. rituals are really based on.

I hate that term though.

There's a nice group of art that has been categorized into a phenomenon called automatic writing or automatic drawing. Austin Osman Spare was a prime example of an artist that used it.

I've posted this image a few times over the years, but it shows something of what I'm referring to.

One day, I picked up a scrap piece of paper, flipped it over (that's what the colored marks are) and I 'scribbled' on it for a few seconds without knowing what was going down on the paper. I was not drawing anything on the paper with any intention whatsoever.

When I focused on the paper so that I could actually see what was now on it, it looked a lot like a person:

crowley-sketch

A day or so later, I stumbled across an image (and I was not searching in particular) so it caught my eye as being quite similar to the 'sketch':

crowley-pipe

I would quite easily discover who the picture was of.

Some people tell me that the drawing doesn't look like that picture at all, but I disagree with that assessment. So, I decided to scan the 'sketch' into an image-editing program and do a (very poor) 50/50 overlay, preserving the aspect ratio of the details of course:

crowverlay

So I say that this type of "phenomenon" is very ..similar.. to what has driven some of the things that he's committed to paper over the years, in that it didn't come from him, or his mind, so to speak...and in some cases, maybe not even truly his hand. That kind of shit has some pretty large implications in my opinion...

Bullshit.
He is one of "them" probably an uncle tomato-hed.

His "religion" is sheeple defined, he crafted the sheep pellets for you to consume.
The "elite" hate Christianity, they are on a quest to destroy it at every chance they get.

"Diary of a Drug Fiend"

I read that too as a teenager. It didn't start out too bad, a little magical leaning but not what the plot was about, the magic part came later, the last part of the book gets way too magical, magic basically gets them over their drug addiction, at that point the book is completely consumed in it, couldn't finish it.
