he is going down because the ridge on the steps indicates that top plate and produces the overhang effect. Unless some retard built those steps backwards, that cat is doing down the steps.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Yep, there is also a pattern on the stairs, which you would see if you were looking directly at the stairs. You do not put a pattern on stairs where you would have to look down while climbing up...that leads to lawsuits.

Also, the cat's paw is indicative of going down, he would not have the leverage needed going up the stairs in that stance (unless he stopped in his tracks).

Re: Is this cat going up...or down....the stairs?
I just looked at my own cats right now.

The cat in the picture is going down the stairs.

The tail is upward to give the stability when the cat's weight is on the forelegs.
When the cat climbs the stairs the tail is parallel to the stairs.

My cats at least don't climb the stairs with their tail up. They don't climb anything with the tail up for that matter.

Re: Is this cat going up...or down....the stairs?
Down, because the stairs, if the cat was going up, the edge of the stairs would wear down. It has not.

Plus, the sun angle is too low for as bright as it appears if the cat was walking up the stairs.

And the stringers appear to indicate the cat is going down.

Down.
