he is going down because the ridge on the steps indicates that top plate and produces the overhang effect. Unless some retard built those steps backwards, that cat is doing down the steps.

You do not put a pattern on stairs where you would have to look down while climbing up...that leads to lawsuits. Also, the cat's paw is indicative of going down, he would not have the leverage needed going up the stairs in that stance (unless he stopped in his tracks).
