I don't see the fun in a Batman vs Superman movie

According to (some) of the comics...

Superman is found out as Clark Kent and he basically becomes an agent (stooge) of the US government. In exchange he's allowed to do good in his free time as he sees fit.

Batman, on the other hand, comes back from retirement and gets his ass kicked a lot as he is older than before. However, he inspires a new horde of Gotham city residents to form a gang but they are a gang that does "good" in that they follow Batman's example. Sons of the Bat, or something like that.

Anyway, the US is EMP'd and becomes a rotting hell hole except for Gotham because Batman and his followers uphold the peace and laws in an otherwise lawless society. The US is jealous of this and sends Superman to kill Batman and put down the "rebellion" in Gotham.

That's the story from the 80s at least. Not sure if they will hold to it.

That's interesting, I grew up in the 90s, currently 31. At this times I think comics were a thing of the past, at least for me,I don't think I ever picked up a comic book.

These movies keep getting made and remade because if they don't exploit the property within a set amount of time then the film rights revert back to the copyright holder and will be sold to another studio. Examples: Spiderman movies, Hulk movies, 2 superman reboots and the aforementioned combo film(s).

From what i remember, Superman gives Batman a Kryptonite ring in case Superman ever "goes bad" like in the Superman 3 movie. Batman whoops that ass!

im sure they will team up and work together. too bad it has ben aflac as batman, it will probably be fairly average with that guy in it.

I thought that was the case. If it has Ben Afflicted in it, I won't be watching it.
