Haven't read whole post.

Little trick.

Put panty hose over air intake of your cars. Adds extra layer of filtration. Every 30 mins take it off and switch, or move to a fresh spot on the hose.

I learned this years ago, but it was mentioned here as well:

Whatever you do, don't drive in the dust, it will ruin your engine eventually. I had this happen from Mt. St. Helens!!!

True, this. Lot of people around here learned the same lesson.

Tarp your vehicles if you can.

Take care, stay safe...

Yeah, like I said, I learned this back in 2011 with Pehueye.

We had to change the air filter once a week even after it died down.

If we need to go somewhere you walk slowly and with a face mask.

Stock up on panty hose.

I was fortunate enough to be in Angeles City in the Philippines when Mt. Pinatubo erupted, a lot of people put a few layers of pantyhose over the air filter to catch the finer ash. They had to change them out pretty regularly, but it seemed to work.

Protect your car...protect your LUNGS!
Ash from volcanic eruptions is actually tiny GLASS
particles. I stood on a mountain top WATCHING the eruption
of Mt. St. Helens and we were never told by the authorities
that breathing even a little of this ash can seriously
damage your lungs. To this day I have a very bad cough from
the exposure to this ash cloud. So--be sure to get some
of those dust masks, or at least put a scarf over your
nose and mouth when you are out doors.
Just a heads-up! Be safe, keeping you all in prayer.
cheers

Covered the grills in the hood of my truck and there will be no driving until the fallout dies down.

Glad I prepped earlier and got a full tank of gas, the lines at the gas stations are miles long...

Suckers.

Walk slow so he doesn't kick up ash. Routine is so he can decontaminate and not bring ash into his house.
