I recommend that humans stay away from injesting metals in large quantities. You may get a psychic boost from Gold in the short term, but it's addictive and damaging.
Humans don't need these metals. Our DNA is superior to most other physical beings. Our DNA is why they are interested in us as their own races are in need of our rich DNA to revitalize theirs.

I have no idea about the 'addictive' part, but most of that damage-the-dna criticism seems to originate from a certain Anna Hayes who according to Drunvalo Melchizedek is a follower of the dark side, and is NOT to be trusted.
