Anyone else a little concerned about the New Madrid
Fault Zone and the 4 quakes we've had today 5-02-2015?
Michigan
Ontario Canada
Tennessee
Mississippi

I'm of the opinion that we are seeing an up-tick w/the New Madrid
Fault showing activity TODAY in its NORTHERN locations. The Saint Lawrence SeaWay along Michigan's western side--WHICH INCLUDES LAKE ERIE--is actually the northern-most area of the fault line. (It is not traditionally called the "New Madrid" but rather "The Saint Lawrence Rift System"...however, the two seismic areas are linked.) Edgar
Cayce's prediction was that the 2 rift systems would react when
one or both went off! (See post #2 for image & video)
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

If there is anything to be concerned about regarding a quake
along the New Madrid (northern section) watch Cargill Salt
Mine, Cleveland, Ohio. This huge (and very deep) salt mine was temporarily closed due to "geological movement" in August of 2013, but received little media attention (see 2 articles below.)Even beyond the USGS, the Cargill Salt Mine operation has ITS OWN seismic monitors and the temporary closure in 2013 was due to only a 1/100th of an inch movement (according to the article.) If they can catch
a 1/100th of an inch movement, they'll be the first to
blow a whistle for the safety of their own workers.

THIS is your "canary in the Salt Mine" literally speaking for a "heads-up" on the New Madrid and Saint Lawrence
Rift Systems...So far, there has been NO ANNOUNCED
CHANGE in CARGILL SALT MINING activity in the Cleveland,
Ohio area.

QUAKES TODAY: Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi and Ontario, Canada (so far....)
Thread: 3.2 Magnitude Earthquake Canton, Mississippi

Michigan experienced a 4.0 pt. quake today near the Toledo/Michigan border coincidentally close to the Cargill Salt Mine in Cleveland which was closed temporarily in
August of 2013 due to "subsidence" detected in the roof
of the mine. (The mine runs UNDER the lake as well as under the coastline of the lake.)
[link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

Ontario, Michigan and Tennessee have experience quakes today! That's very unusual!

I know there is a thread on this activity. However, it is the Cargill Mine in the "connecting the dots" for the
New Madrid that I would be watching. ANY temporary closure or an announcement about seismic activity that affects their operations would be the clue you need. If this area
develops a sinkhole...that's a really bad sign, as well.

I did a thread on the Cargill/Bayou Corne connection back
in 2013 as these are the 2 apexes of the New Madrid Fault
Systems, one north, one south. I had a "hinky" that future
news about seismic movements in these 2 locations was a big
"heads-UP!"

August 22, 2013
Cargill Salt Mine near Cleveland, OH sent workers home
for a week when they noticed a "subsidence" in the roof
of the huge salt mine there (i.e., the roof of the salt mine had begun to lower, suggesting seismic activity was ongoing.)
[link to www.newsnet5.com]
NOTE:
There is a strangeness with this link that the original
title and first 2 sentences are still there...but the
rest of the article has mysteriously been "grayed-over"
so that it is not readable. Could this be related?
Article below has a video.

From "Mining Connection.com" article 8-22-13
[link to www.miningconnection.com]

With the strangeness around the Wal-Mart closures in the
south, one really needs to stop and pause as to whether
all of these dots are connecting for a very major U.S.
geological "event" in the works!

Of course, we wouldn't get any warning...just enjoy the nice
bath!

Dutchsince--a great UTUBE channel for all things
geological has a very good up-date on the Michigan
quake that hit this Michigan near Grand Rapids, Mi.
It was a 4.0 pt. and was, as you will hear him say,
a very RARE location for a quake in the U.S.A.
Don't miss this video--very well presented.

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

If you haven't seen any "future maps" of the New
Madrid Fault Zone and the "sister zone" called the
"Saint Lawrence Rift Zone" that butts up on its
northern edge--this is a good example. Stan Deyo
is the source for this artist's rendition of what
they expect to happen eventually.

:DeyoNwMdrd:
Image is a combination of the predictions
from Edgar Cayce and the U.S.Naval Map
that was "leaked" in 2013. It shows some
possible scenarios for the New Madrid Fault
and the Great Lakes ARea. (A very stretched-out
Lake Erie is at top center at an angle.)

You can see in the image above that there
is a stretching and distortion of Lake Erie
--the lake ABOVE to the Cargill Salt Mine.
Should such a geologic event take place, such as
that shown in the image above, the Saint Lawrence
Rift would also be affected and part of Lake Erie
would drain INTO the salt mine, most likely causing
the same sink hole affect as we saw in Bayou
Corne, Louisianna following the Gulf Oil Disaster
according to some articles.

This is a video explaining the "Expanding Earth
Theory." It is NOT a conventional theory in
traditional geology--even though it is a logical
conclusion one would make looking at this animation
by Neal Adams. So...why would the expanding earth
theory be so massively suppressed? My "take" is
simple. If you thought that the earth was expanding
...how would you feel about oil fracking and drilling
especially along already identified fault areas?
You probably would think it is insane...because it
IS insane!

Yes, they sent their workers back to work in only
a week's delay.

My point is that if these quakes are a significant 4-shock
to something larger, it will be the Cargill Salt Mine who
suspends mining operations before any other news about
this up-tick in quakes makes it to the news. I'll be
interested to see what they do.

Just sayin!

Thanks Holly...Saw the Michigan quake and it was the
first thing I thought of...lucky I did that thread on
the Cargill Salt Mine in 2013. I had a bad feeling about
their closure even tho the geologic movement was really
very small. Still...anything along those fault lines
should be reason for a "heads-up!"

We'll see.

AS a graduate of the Physical Geograpy Dept of the University of Memphis with a minor in Geology and one of two students who graduated with this degree, I can tell all of you that this is indeed what FEMA is preparing for. With pressure from the fracking in the Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas area, the govt has realized they have opened a ticking time bomb on a fault that was once considered dormant in the 1990's. If you do not believe a frickin word I have said, then read this excerpt from a study done in 2010 with the attached link. It will open your eyes big time on the catastrophe that is awaiting us, which will effect every person in the country regardless of where they live because of the various major transportation corridors that run through this region rail, trucks and airlines just as an example

Memphis is the largest transportation hub in the country- home of Fed Ex, Burlington Northern Railroad sea containers and various trucking companies. After midnight Fed Ex/Memphis airport is the busiest airport in the world.

"The results indicate that Tennessee, Arkansas, and M
issouri are most severely impacted. Illinois and Kentucky are also impacted, though not as severely as the previous three states. Nearly 715,000 buildings are damaged in the eight-state study region. About 42,000 search and rescue personnel
working in 1,500 teams are required to respond to
the earthquakes. Damage to critical infrastructure (essential facilities, transportation and
utility lifelines) is substantial in the
140 impacted counties near the rupture zone,
including 3,500 damaged bridges and nearly 425,000 breaks and leaks to both local and interstate pipelines. Approximately 2.6 million households are without power afterthe earthquake. Nearly 86,000 injuries and fatalities result from damage to infrastructure. Nearly 130 hospitals are damaged and most are located in the impacted counties near the rupture zone. There is extensive damage and substantial travel delays in
both Memphis, Tennessee, and St. Louis, Missouri, thus hampering search and rescue as well as evacuation.
Moreover roughly 15 major bridges are unusable. Three days after the earthquake,7.2 million people are still displaced and 2 million people seek temporary shelter
. Direct economic losses for the eight states total
nearly $300 billion while indirect losses may be at least twice this amount."

Thank you Physical...I appreciate your information.
Many of us really don't have the science background to
be able to really "connect the dots" with all the various
news about circumstantial evidence as to what you are
describing above.
I've been worried since the huge oil rig disaster back
in 2011. I had read that the rig had accidentally drilled
into an active asphalt volcano--this was a credible source
and I was just shocked. (Sorry...I don't have the article link handy but I'll look for it.)
It is drilling accidents like this and the fracking we have heard about that makes me think it is just a matter of time before it all comes together for a huge "event" of some kind.
Thanks again for your post.

The Michigan earthquake today was centered in Kalamazoo County.
A couple hundred miles from the mine in Ohio. It was the second largest quake ever recorded in Michigan. Seeing that it was on the west side of the state it puts it closer to the new Madrid fault.

Part of it could be that the Earth is expanding as well.

I was raised in Michigan. I bet they really freaked when they felt an earthquake for the first time.

If New Madrid really goes, there is going to be major doomage.

Re: Curious about Up-Tick for New Madrid Fault? Watch Cargill Salt Mine, Cleveland, OH. Up-date 2 more Miss. quakes!

I believe you. They are worried. In May 2011 there was a huge NLE 11 drill for a New Madrid quake.
