Isiah Thomas, who cost Knicks owner millions in sexual harassment case, to run WNBA team | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1980737 ![]() 05/06/2015 12:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | James Dolan, chairman of The Madison Square Garden Company that owns the Knicks, has hired Isiah Thomas as president of the WNBA's New York Liberty, the team announced Tuesday. Thomas also will own part of the team. Given Thomas' history in the company and with women, the move is puzzling. The Basketball Hall of Famer served as the Knicks’ president of basketball operations from 2003 to 2008 and head coach from 2006 to 2008. In 2007, a jury found Thomas and Madison Square Garden guilty of sexually harassment of a Knicks employee. That ruling ultimately cost Dolan and MSG a total of $11.6 million.
